Breaking: FG reopens schools, lifts interstate ban

Nigerian Government has announced the reopening of schools for exiting students in secondary schools across the country.

The task force said that critical and revision classes for JSS 3 and SS 3 students would resume to prepare their existing examinations.


After accessing the extent of COVID-19 spread in Nigeria, the Federal Government has lifted the ban on interstate movement.

Schools all over Nigeria have been shut down since March in a bid to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).


The chairman of the presidential task force on COVID-19 Boss Mustapha during the daily briefing said that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the extension of the phased lockdown for four weeks.

This is as the second phase of restrictions ends today, Monday.
